"Spaces Between" Is an independent study conducted under the guidance of Hillary Huskey on pre production and visual development during my time at East Carolina University. The story of "Spaces" follows Lucy, a young girl on vacation at the beach with her family. Lucy's older sister Mabel goes missing and Lucy will stop at nothing to find her. She meets Max who seems to have all the answers to her sister's disappearance. To her shock Max tells her that her sister is not only lost in a parallel world but that he's the one who put her there. It's up to Lucy to find her sister before it's too late.

The Mold is a creature that lives in this parallel dimension where Mabel is trapped. The Mold attaches itself to a host and slowly consumes it like a parasite.

The Animatic
The animatic for "Spaces Between" covers Lucy finding out that Max somehow managed to send her sister to a parallel dimension. He sends her to join her sister by pushing her into a pool which turns out to be a portal to this parallel world. When Lucy surfaces in the other world she is face to face with the Mold which has already attached itself to her sister, Mabel.
